Since 2006 I have been a counsellor and psychotherapist in private practice. I consider it a privilege to walk with my clients as they find a new perspective on their lives, and emerge from the therapeutic journey with the insight and clarity they need to move forward.
My practice draws on a range of modalities, including existential, narrative, attachment and family systems therapy. The needs of my clients always determine the way that I work.
My qualifications and membership include:
- Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy
- Bachelor of Adult Education
- Executive Coach Certification
- Membership of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia)
My professional experience and areas of special interest include:
- grief, loss and bereavement
- childhood trauma
- loneliness and isolation
- life stage transitions, including divorce, relocation and retirement
- self esteem and image
- life meaning and direction
- cross-cultural relationships and issues
I was raised in Australia by my Dutch mother and Indian father. I speak Dutch, conversational French, and have a basic understanding of German.
